Letter for you #1

Having a daughter in this patriacal community is such a challenge. There is so many things I want to tell her, to prepare her, for how this world will treat her. Let's start with the basic. As a women, you should be independent. Never ever ever depend on a man for your happiness. You don't need a man to be happy. You don't need anyone else to make your life complete. You are your own pupil and you are perfect already.

If you ever love someone, make sure that he loves you equally or better more. Make sure that you will always be in his top priority, that he put you first. I think I'm gonna be a hell of selective mother about this matter. Because I don't want you to be hurt. There's already so many things in this world that can hurt you. And loving someone should not be one of that.

I've seen first hand, how a women sacrifice her own life for the man, throwing away opportunity to have a better life for the sake of man's ego. And guess what it brings her? Sorrow. I also know how it feels not to be the top priority. I don't want you ever feel like you are not worthy. Be with someone kind. Kind to other people, but most important, kindest to you. You don't need a nice man who act and look nice to the whole world, but being nasty at you.

It better be alone than with someone who hurts you constantly and makes you feel like you are the worst.
